Engaging Elementary Students with Augmented Reality Apps

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Augmented Reality (AR) apps allow students to engage with classroom objects in unique and engaging ways. Participants will explore ColAR, Aurasma, Chromville, AR Flashcards and AR enhanced picture books to better understand what augmented reality apps are, and how they can be used to engage elementary students. Participants who want to explore the apps hands-on, should download the apps listed above to their mobile device prior to the session.

I lead the team that oversees the contests NETA offers for students and teachers each year. What new contests could we offer to recognize model uses of technology to support instruction? I also lead NETA's advocacy efforts to encourage state and national lawmakers to support ed tech in schools. How can be better help you advocate for ed tech funding and accessibility in schools?
